Yassine El Jadid is a Moroccan documentary photographer based in Leipzig, Germany. Driven by curiosity about people and the ways they experience, adapt to, and find meaning within the world around them. His work engages with social justice, human connection, health, social participation, and questions surrounding identity and belonging.

Through intimate portraiture, observation, and long-form documentary storytelling, he uses photography to get closer to experiences that are often difficult to communicate otherwise. His practice pays particular attention to relationships, routines, and seemingly ordinary moments through which larger personal and social realities become visible.

Having moved between Morocco and Germany, questions of place, cultural identity, migration, and belonging naturally enter his way of seeing. Alongside his photographic practice, his developing background in occupational therapy is expanding his interest in the relationship between people, their bodies, their environments, and their ability to participate in everyday life. He is particularly interested in how internal experiences intersect with the social and physical conditions that surround us.

Rather than working within one fixed subject, through his work he hopes to create intimate and socially engaged stories that encourage curiosity and empathy.
